Interested in the practise of simplifying the human face into an abstract design, this style of art plays a consistent role when it comes to recognising my style, which has developed over the years.  Admiring the drive and style from female illustrators such as Kelly Anna and Florence Given, I created the campaign “Spot Me” which aims to empower those who suffer from acne due to a link between acne and mental health issues, including anxiety and depression. Exploring a punk route for this project has been great fun. Creating expressive work involving sharp mark-making and monoprinting,

I want to convey a rebellious tone, rebelling against beauty standards of being told to conceal our spots and that acne relates to being unhygienic. By applying this use of media, I hope that the confident attitude and physical power l put into these designs, are visually recognised and passed on to my viewers.
